Doctors will decide on Salač’s participation in the German Grand Prix on Friday

“He has made excellent progress in his recovery, his participation depends on the doctors’ report on Friday,” Salač’s stable said on the website.

The 22-year-old Salač had a heavy fall last Friday at the start of the first timed practice before the Grand Prix of the Netherlands. He limped away from the scene of the accident, but due to a blow to the head, which also cracked his helmet, he traveled to the hospital after an initial examination at the health center on the circuit. He spent the night there observing and did not intervene in the weekend program.

Sunday’s German Grand Prix is the ninth round of the World Championship and the last before the championship’s four-week summer break. Salač is in 19th place in the Moto2 ranking with 14 points, and his highest is eleventh place from April’s Spanish Grand Prix. In addition to Assen this year, the Czech driver was also absent from the second race of the season in Portugal in March due to health reasons, as he was recovering from repeated forearm surgery.
