Monday was a special day for EF Education-EasyPost. The American team took the yellow jersey in the Tour de France with Richard Carapaz. That led to an emotional moment in the team’s support car. At Intermarché-Wanty there was also a big party in the team car. They took the stage win with Biniam Girmay.

When the redeeming news arrives, Wegelius remains relatively calm, but it is clear that it affects him deeply. The former professional puts his hands in front of his face, has to shed a tear and then hugs his fellow team leader Andreas Klier warmly.
