Declan Rice caught scolding the coach Slovakia, Francis Calzonaafter the match Euro 2024. The England midfielder launched a tirade of abuse.
Round of 16 Euro 2024 bring together England vs Slovakia at Veltins Arena, Sunday (30/6) evening WIB. The Three Lions team won dramatically with a narrow score of 2-1.
Slovakia took the lead in the first half through Ivan Schranz’s goal. Jude Bellingham saved England from defeat with a bicycle kick in the final minute of the match.
The duel then continued into extra time. England managed to steal a goal through Harry Kane, simultaneously securing a 2-1 victory and also a ticket to the Euro 2024 quarter-finals.
The hot moment occurred after the long whistle blew. The camera recorded Declan Rice argue with Francis Calzonauntil the Slovakian coach pushed Rice away.
Rice was so angry that he had to be restrained by fellow England players Ivan Toney and Ezri Konsa. The Arsenal player then launched a rant against Calzona’s bald-headed physique.
“Shut up, you hypocrite! Hey shut up, you bald bastard,” Rice sprayed Calzona, as reported by Daily Mail.
Calzona has spoken out about his spat with Rice, saying the England international has apologised to him, so there is no need to blow it out of proportion.
“Rice was going to talk to the referee and leave. I was going to talk to the referee and he didn’t want to leave, he just kept going,” Calzona was quoted as saying by Daily Mail.
“He apologised and it was all fine. I didn’t like the way England wasted time and didn’t get punished for it,” he said of the England vs Slovakia match.
