England wins the European Bitcoin Championship: Bellingham the most expensive (together with Mbappé). Italy seventh – Football

Over 190 thousand Bitcoin. Translated into money (and big bucks): more than 11.4 billion euros. This is the total value of Euro 2024, according to the study conducted by YouHodler. From the analysis carried out, the queen of Europe appears to be England with a squad of 25,333 BTC (1.52 billion euros). France and Portugal follow, respectively with 20,500 (1.23 billion euros) and 17,500 BTC (1.05 billion euros).

Based on the estimates of the specialized portal Transfermarkt.it, the Fintech platform web3 – official Crypto Partner of Torino FC from the 2022/2023 season – has in fact analyzed in detail the market value of the national teams, converting the data collected into BTC, and has drawn up a ranking of the most expensive squads and players of the tournament. In order not to depend on price fluctuations, the reference value of Bitcoin has been set at 60 thousand euros.

Outside the podium are Spain (16,092 BTC), Germany (13,850 BTC) and the Netherlands (13,583 BTC). In seventh place is Luciano Spalletti’s Italy: the Azzurri squad is worth 705.5 million euros, equal to 11,758 BTC. Closing the top 10 are Belgium (9,742 BTC), Denmark (6,925 BTC) and Ukraine (6,317 BTC).

Which footballers are worth the most? At the top of the list are the two Real Madrid stars, Bellingham and Mbappé, tied with 3,000 BTC. In second place is the English Foden with 2,500 BTC, followed by his compatriot Saka (2,333 BTC).

The fourth position is occupied by the German talent born in 2003 from Bayer Leverkusen, Florian Wirtz, whose value is 2,167 BTC. He is followed by his national teammate Musiala (2,000 BTC), who shares the fifth place with the Spaniard Rodri and the English Rice.

Two Italians are in the top 10: Nicolò Barella and Alessandro Bastoni. The first, with a value of 1,333 BTC (80 million euros), is the eighth most expensive footballer of Euro 2024 (fifth among midfielders together with Pedri, Cole Palmer and Xavi Simons).

The second, with his 1,167 BTC (70 million euros), is the third most expensive defender of the tournament and is tenth in the general ranking with the good company of Alexander-Arnold (England), Havertz (Germany), Sané (Germany), Bruno Fernandes (Portugal) and Bernardo Silva (Portugal).

Looking at the rankings we then find Federico Dimarco (14th with 833 BTC) and Gianluigi Donnarumma (16th with 667 BTC) – number one among goalkeepers for market value together with Kobel (Switzerland) and Diogo Costa (Portugal). In 18th position, several Azzurri tied with 583 BTC, from Vicario – third among his colleagues in the department – ​​to Chiesa, passing through Scamacca, Frattesi and Buongiorno.

Outside the top 20, finally, Riccardo Calafiori, 21st with 500 BTC. The Bologna defender, thanks to his seasonal performances, is destined to become the market man of this summer and, consequently, to increase his value, as evidenced by the peak of international interest in his performances.
