Euro 2024: a blander, less offensive edition than the previous ones? What the figures say

This is a criticism that comes up regularly among observers or simple supporters: the matches of this Euro are a bit boring. Precisely, Ralf Rangnick does not see any of the favorites, those who are expected to be at the top of the levels for these competitions supposed to embody a celebration of football, to stand out or to cheer up the crowds. France and its very defensive game, in which no player has scored except Kylian Mbappé on a penalty, is often targeted by this criticism, as are England, the Netherlands or Portugal, also quarter-finalists.
