Last day of the regular season of the top baseball championship with Hotsand Macerata visiting Bologna today and tomorrow, first in the standings together with San Marino and Parma. The Macerata team, no matter what happens, will finish in fourth place while for their opponents there is the possibility of finishing in the lead by taking advantage of the direct clash between the other two leaders. “For us too – explains Andrea Graziani, president of Hotsand Macerata – it is an important series because it offers us the opportunity to test the mechanisms in view of the playoff quarterfinals”. There is still one round to go, but the championship has already said something. “It told us that we have the chance to compete against anyone, getting a result in Bologna would give us enthusiasm and courage for the subsequent phases of the season. Maybe there might not be that nervous tension because we cannot improve on the fourth place that guarantees us access to the playoffs without resorting to the play-offs”.
The quarterfinals will start on July 27th and to know the opponent we will have to wait for the outcome of the play-offs. Next week the Hotsand players will answer the call-ups of the national teams to play in Holland the Harlem Week (July 12-19): Lorenzo Morresi, Gabriele Quattrini, Marco Servidei and Jesus Carrera will join the Azzurri while Roger Beradina and Juremi Profar will join the Dutch selection.
