Munich – At the end of May, the first reports were already circulating that Bayern had secured the Dutch top talent Chivano Wijks. The German record champions have not yet officially confirmed the deal. Nevertheless, the transfer is complete. On Monday, a picture appeared on X showing the 16-year-old youngster posing with an FC Bayern shirt.

A player type like Matthijs de Ligt
As the transfer insider Luca Bendoni reported, Wijks has signed a three-year contract with FCB. Bayern have won out against numerous top clubs in the competition for the young talent. It is not clear how much the Munich team paid for the transfer fee. Since Wijks has not yet signed a professional contract with Feyenoord, Bayern will probably only have to transfer training compensation in the six-figure range to Rotterdam.
Wijks comes from the youth team of Feyenoord Rotterdam and most recently played for the U17 team. The young defender is versatile in defence and can play on the right wing in a back four or in the centre of defence. Due to his robust style of play, the Dutch U16 international is compared to Bayern star Matthijs de Ligt in his home country.
