Munich – After the departure of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, FC Bayern is looking for another alternative for the attack. According to information from Foot Market Breel Embolo is now in sight.

The striker played for Switzerland at the European Championships, including in the group match against the German national team (1:1). The Swiss were eliminated in the quarter-finals, while Embolo played in all five tournament matches for Switzerland and scored two goals.

Sky had recently reported that there had already been talks between FC Bayern and Embolo in the summer of 2022, at that time still under the direction of former sports director Hasan Salihamidzic.
In a conversation with Sky during the European Championships, Embolo made it clear that he was definitely open to a return to Germany. The Bundesliga was “always” an option for him: “It’s an exciting league, I spent six great years there. It’s a league that I follow, also because of the Swiss who play here. If it becomes an issue, you have to look at it,” he said.
When asked about the current Bayern rumors and the failed deal two years ago, Embolo was reserved at the time: “I can’t say anything about that, out of respect for my club and out of respect for FC Bayern.”
