L’Elective assembly of the FIGC will be held next November 4th with on the agenda also theelection of the Federal President. She made it official in a note herself Football Federationspecifying that the elective federal assembly will be held at theHotel Hilton Rome Fiumicino Airport at 11 am in second call. An announcement that comes the day after the president’s press conference Gabriel Gravina, who on the day after after the knockout with Switzerland, had also touched on the topic of the federal assembly to be convened. Gravina, in office since 2018 and reconfirmed in 2021, has not yet announced whether he will run again.

“The president of the FIGC has called the elective federal assembly for 4 November 2024which will be held at the Hilton Rome Airport Hotel in Fiumicino at 11 am on the second call. On the agenda: the verification of powers; the election of the president of the assembly; the election of the federal councillors of the components pursuant to art.26, paragraph 4. of the Federal Statute; the election of the federal president; the election of the president of the Board of Auditors”
Gravina, yesterday’s words on resignation
“The idea that someone from outside can demand his resignation does not exist in the idea of federal governance,” the FIGC president said yesterday in a joint press conference with coach Spalletti. The deadline is scheduled for March 2025, the elections will take place on the first available date but they cannot take place before the end of the Olympics. That is the only place democratically delegated to choose governance and will be legitimized to make all project choices. Re-candidate? For me it is premature to talk about it today, I think it is right to have an open discussion to verify the possibility if it is a path that can be continued or should be interrupted“
