Fluminense Signs Striker Jorge Amorim for U-17 Team, Boosting Squad Strength

Striker Jorge Amorim is the new addition to Fluminense’s U-17 team. The club made official this Monday (15/07) the signing of the Moleque de Xerém, who signed a loan contract valid until the end of June 2025. The agreement, reached with Nova Iguaçu, provides Tricolor with a purchase option.

“I’m feeling really good. I was extremely embraced and welcomed when I arrived here, as if I was already at home. So, my expectations are the best possible. I want to find my place and win titles with this great club,” declared the 17-year-old player.

Born in Nova Iguaçu (RJ), Jorge Amorim also played for Flamengo’s youth teams. He has already joined the team led by coach Felipe Canavan and could make his debut in Tuesday’s game (16/07) against São Paulo, in the third round of the Under-17 Brazilian Championship. The game starts at 4 pm, at the Marcelo Portugal Stadium, in Cotia (SP).
