“For me, being here is a dream because I didn’t expect it at all and they are the girls I’ve always watched on TV, who have been my idols since I was little. To be lucky enough to be here, the truth is that I’m extremely grateful,” said Martín at the Triángulo de Oro Pavilion (Madrid), where the Spanish team is preparing its next friendlies.
The 18-year-old point guard is aware that she still has “a lot” to do in her development as a player and that she cannot focus on “what will happen in a few years.” “I am simply here to help for as long as they tell me,” explained Martín in this regard.
