Georges Mikautadze (Metz) will sign for Monaco

It was one of the big files of the transfer window in France and it will find its epilogue in the next few hours. As announced on June 11, Georges Mikautadze wanted to join Monaco, whose style of play he likes.

Seduced by the prospect of playing in the Champions League while remaining in a Ligue 1 that he knows well, the Metz striker had notably had fruitful discussions with Thiago Scuro, the director of Monaco football, and Adi Hütter, the coach.

Before the Euro, an agreement in principle had been reached between the clubs, but it had not resulted in a formal offer. This weekend, in Paris, the discussions between all the entities bore fruit and the final details were settled this Thursday. Bought for €13M (plus 10% of the capital gain) by the Grenat club, the Georgian international, who had a very good Euro, will be recruited for around €25M (bonus included) by ASM.
