German U12 Baseball Team Advances to Final at European Championships, Set to Face Netherlands

The German U12 national baseball team has qualified for the final at the home European Championships in Paderborn and will face the Netherlands there on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.

On Friday, Germany triumphed in the semi-finals with a 10-0 win against Italy. Before that, the Netherlands celebrated a 3-0 victory against the Czech Republic.

Germany starts the game with Tizian Raphael Sulilatu (C), Keylen Taris Fernandes Ruiz (SS), Jonathan Strübing (CF), Felix Blesing (P), Matthes Max Schwarcke (3B), Raphael Acbas (1B), Yannick Post (RF), Ben Maximilian Rudolph (LF) and Thore Warlies (2B).

The German team opened the game with a 7-run rally in the first inning. Keylen Taris Fernandez Ruiz hit a solo home run and Thore Warlies a grand slam home run. After two scoreless innings, the German team scored two more runs in the fourth inning to make the score 9-0. In the fifth inning, Thore Warlies secured the win with a walk-off home run. The game was then ended under the 10-run rule.
