Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV), a company of the MSC Group, has reactivated its seasonal route between Almería and Morocco, specifically Nador, to reinforce its services during Operation Crossing the Strait, which will be operational until September 15. GNV states that “one more year” it is committed to “collaborating with all administrations” to ensure the “success of Operation Crossing the Strait (OPE)”, which began on June 5.

The route, which was inaugurated in July 2022, will offer five weekly departures from Almería, scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The ships will depart in the evening from the Andalusian city and arrive in Nador early in the morning, thus facilitating transit between Spain and Morocco.

In addition to the seasonal Almería-Nador route, GNV maintains the Barcelona-Tangier connection operating all year round. Passengers can purchase their tickets now, paying only 20% of the fare and the rest 30 days before the trip.

Currently, the port of Almería is the second in Spain in passenger traffic during Operation Crossing the Strait.
