Golden State Warriors shorted a Chris Paul, who thus becomes an unrestricted free agent. Paul had a $30 million non-guaranteed contract heading into the 2024-2025 season.

Paul, 39, had completed his first season with the Warriors, spending most of the season as a substitute.

The point guard averaged 9.2 points and 6.8 assists in 26.4 minutes in the 58 games he played, 40 of them starting from the second unit.
