After defeating the Gatineau Tyrans, the Coaticook Rocket twice as well as the Quebec Diamants, the Repentigny Royal Chevrolet lost in the grand final of the mid-season tournament of the Quebec Junior Elite Baseball League by a score of 9-5 against the Granby Guerriers in a game that saw the two teams exchange the lead several times.

Bruno Rousselle was credited with the victory, after working three and a third innings, as he limited the Royal to 4 hits and only one free pass.
