After several extensions, Gravelines-Dunkerque officially launches its summer recruitment. The BCM has announced this Thursday the signing of its first recruit for next season: Hunter Cattoor. He arrives straight from the NCAA after five years at Virginia Tech.
The American guard (1.91 m, 23 years old) is an unknown in Europe but he has carved out a solid reputation as a sniper in the ACC conference throughout his five seasons spent in the Hokies jersey.
In his last NCAA season, he averaged 13.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists for 13 evaluation, with notably a nice 41.2% success rate at 3-pointers (never below 40% in five university seasons!).

A star of his school – record holder for career 3-point shots with 332 – he was there “unanimously appreciated for his qualities on and off the field“, said the Maritimes press release. He was notably elected MVP of the ACC Tournament in 2022 after a remarkable performance against Duke in the final (31 points).
Spotted by Jean-Christophe Prat and not drafted in the NBA at the end of June, Hunter Cattoor will therefore begin his professional career in France. Until then, he will play in the Summer League in July under the colors of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
