HEESCH – The youth department of the Heesche Badminton Association concluded the season on Friday 28 June with the parent-child tournament. During the parent-child tournament, each youth member brings a parent with them, with whom a duo is formed for the entire evening. For youth members, this is the moment to show their parents what they have learned in a season and for parents, this is the moment to prove that they too can hit a shuttle. The latter is quite a disappointment for some parents, sometimes resulting in some laughter from the youth.
Nevertheless, the parent-child tournament always guarantees an exciting battle between the duos. More than 25 duos came to sports hall ‘t Vijfeiken to compete against each other. Points were collected for eight rounds. In the end, it was Julia al Eido and her father Ateiah who scored the most points and were allowed to take the prizes home. On Friday 23 August, the doors of sports hall ‘t Vijfeiken will open again for a new badminton season. More information about the Heesche Badminton Association can be found at www.hbv-heesch.nl.
