For the 2024-25 season, the 40 teams that make up this division, as had been speculated in recent days, have finally been distributed according to the north-south geographical criterion, the same one that was already used in the distribution made for the 2023-24 campaign.
The presidents of the territorial federations They met early on Tuesday afternoon to discuss the different proposals for the distribution of the Primera Federación groups. In addition to the north-south proposal, there was also an east-west geographical proposal (the one chosen in the 2022-23 season, the one for the debut of the category after the restructuring undertaken by the RFEF) and a third alternative, with a diagonal division arising from Castilla y León.
As in other seasons, the chosen proposal has respected one of the RFEF’s priorities when distributing the groups, including in both two of the Four second division clubs relegated to maintain athletic balance.
This is finally the distribution of the two groups of the First Federation for the 2024-25 seasonwhich in this category will begin on the weekend of August 24-25.

Galicia will have four representatives (Lugo, Arenteiro, Celta Fortuna and Ourense CF), the same as Madrid (Alcorcón, Fuenlabrada, Castilla and Atlético de Madrid B) and the Valencian Community (Hércules, Intercity, Alcoyano and Villarreal B). Catalonia will have two fewer teams, with only two teams in the bronze division in the 2024-25 League (Nàstic and Barça Atlètic), the same as the Region of Murcia: Real Murcia and Yeclano.
