Honda announced this Tuesday morning that Aleix Espargaro will lend a hand to Stefan Bradl as a test rider. The Spaniard, who has ridden in MotoGP for Ducati, Aprilia, Yamaha and Suzuki, will try to help, from 2025, the Japanese manufacturer, without a win since 2021, to get back on its feet. At 34, Espargaro will leave the Championship at the end of the season, a decision announced a few weeks ago in Barcelona.
“Honda Racing Corporation will strengthen its testing program with the arrival of Aleix Espargaro as a test rider in 2025,” announced the Japanese manufacturer. “With nearly 250 starts in MotoGP, Aleix will share with us his wealth of experience and his record of three victories and more than 1,300 points in MotoGP.”
