Unique podium. Ialicia Andrianjaka Rasolonoelina won the bronze medal in women’s singles series 2 at the 9th edition of the Reunion International Tournament. The tournament took place from June 27 to 30 at the Champ Fleury gymnasium in Reunion. Ialicia lost in the semi-final by 22/20 21/16 against Reunion’s Mouniama Mounican. The other Malagasy representatives competing in series 1 could not do better.
Tokinirina Razafimandimby, alias Joy, was eliminated in the quarter-finals. Soaniaina Tombotsoako Razanamaly and Thierry Razafimahatratra were eliminated in the group stage. In the men’s doubles, Joy and Thierry lost to a French team in the quarter-finals. The girls, for their part, lost to the Reunion team after a good run in the elimination phase and in the round of 16.
In mixed doubles, Joy and Aina were eliminated in the round of 16. Final point on the first tournament, the second, the International de Saint-Denis, will run from July 3 to 7.
