Romanian international star Ianis Hagi has been in the spotlight after wearing a hairnet during the last 16 clash Euro 2024 against the Netherlands, Tuesday (2/7) evening WIB at the Munchen Football Arena, Munich, Germany.

Football fans on screen and in the stadium were surprised to see Hagi wearing a hairnet. Hagi himself had previously clashed heads with Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries.

After the collision, Hagi’s head was seen bleeding. The Romanian National Team medical team immediately gave treatment to the 25-year-old player.

One of them was by putting a hair net on Hagi’s head to make the wound safer and stop the bleeding, which allowed the son of Romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi to continue playing.

As he continued the match with a white hair net on his head, Hagi immediately became the center of attention, because this appearance was not yet familiar to world football fans.

Those who did not watch the match from the start wondered what Ianis Hagi was wearing. Not a few football fans wondered what the function of the hairnet was.

Ianis Hagi himself was finally pulled out in the 72nd minute to be replaced by Denis Alibec in the Romania vs Netherlands match.

Romania also had to swallow the bitter pill of being eliminated from Euro 2024 after being defeated by De Oranje with a landslide score of 0-3. The Netherlands’ three winning goals were contributed by two substitutes Donyell Malen and another goal from Cody Gakpo.
