Ice Hockey – Division 1. The Villard-de-Lans Bears announce their future players

The Bears of Villard-de-Lans face a huge challenge for next season. The team, French Division 2 champion, is structuring itself to gradually arm itself in the D1 championship.

The Vercors club already announced several days ago the extension of Eric Medeiros, its coach since last season. The Canadian has signed on for another season and the club’s president, Frédéric Bertrand, had announced that the squad would not be overly shaken up.

Continue to grow young people

Canadian Ludovic Harrison left the club, but since then, the new D1 championship resident has extended several of its players’ contracts.

Among them, we find captain Thomas Ruel. At 25, the Villardien will play his eighth season at the club. But also Anthony Ravaud (23 years old), returned to Vercors in 2023 after a stint at Vaujany-Grenoble and Chambéry.

Striker Jean Depetro (21 years old) and his partner on the attack line, Matthéo Cantagalo (23 years old), have also just extended their contracts with the Villardian club.

The leaders have made it known that they will continue to work with the group, very young, to continue to make them grow to the next level. The latest announcements validate this desire.
