This utility pole relocation project was carried out for the convenience and safety of residents, and the district also made various efforts to relocate the utility poles, such as changing the shape of the poles from the existing straight shape to an S shape.
In particular, one of the two utility poles removed today was located in front of the main entrance to the badminton court, blocking part of the access road, causing great dissatisfaction and inconvenience to residents using the badminton court.
This relocation and removal of utility poles has greatly improved visibility for both vehicle and pedestrian drivers, preventing accidents and making it easier for residents to travel.
At the relocation construction site, Gangbuk-gu officials and local Democratic Party of Korea member Kim Myeong-hee were present and agreed to continue to listen to residents’ inconveniences and work together to ensure pedestrian safety.
Rep. Park Cheol-woo, who inspected the site, said, “Through this relocation of utility poles, not only has pedestrian safety for residents and users improved, but the cityscape has also improved significantly,” and added, “We will continue to actively reflect the voices from the field in various regions to resolve residents’ inconveniences.”
