Expectation for upcoming Judo Exams for Dan Grades 2024 in CDMX
As the date of the 2024 Dan Judo Exams at the “Hermanos Galeana” Sports Complex approaches, the expectation and intensity of training among judokas from the central part of the country is growing.
As reported, this knowledge and technique testing session will take place next Saturday, July 13, in the central gymnasium of the aforementioned sports complex in the Gustavo A. Madero municipality, north of Mexico City (CDMX).
For this important growth process within the martial art of judo, there will be two preparatory sessions, which will be held on July 11 and 12, at the same “Hermanos Galeana” Sports Center.
The hosts of these activities will be the members of the Judokas Association of Mexico City (Judo CDMX), under the endorsement of the Mexican Judo Federation (FMJ).
The Dan Grade Promotion is open to all members of the FMJ and its respective associations, who must present a resume of their career in judo, a certificate of Ik-Kyu (brown belt) or corresponding Dan Black Belt, be over 16 years of age, have a membership card to the FMJ and wear a white judogi, among other requirements.
Likewise, candidates for Black Belt from 1st Dan to 6th Dan must comply with the necessary official documentation, as well as the corresponding years of practice for each grade.
For this exam, candidates must perform certain mandatory katas, according to the Dan level they aspire to, from Sho Dan (1st Dan) to Roku Dan (6th Dan), in addition to executing the techniques requested from Go Kyo Shinmeisho No Waza and Renraku Waza, Kaeshi Waza and Rensoku Waza.
Judokas interested in taking their Dan Grade Exam can request more information at their dojo or club, as well as at their respective association, and also via email at the addresses [email protected] and [email protected].
It is worth remembering that the preparatory sessions will be held on July 11 and 12, while the Dan Grade Exam will be on Saturday the 13th of the same month at the “Hermanos Galeana” Sports Center, located at Avenida José Loreto Fabela, number 190, San Juan de Aragón VII Section neighborhood, Gustavo A. Madero municipality, CDMX.
