Isaiah Hartenstein Signs Lucrative Deal with Oklahoma City Thunder After Departing Knicks

Isaiah Hartenstein has shelved his adventure with the Knicks and, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPNhas reached an agreement for 3 years and 87 million dollars to play for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Sam Presti has convinced him to join his young project led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and in the hours before the 2024 Draft they added one of the best outside defenders: Alex Caruso, from the Chicago Bulls in the deal for Josh Giddey .

The Knicks, for their part, lost the salary battle with the Thunder, since they could only offer him 72 million. Hartenstein, with his new commitment, will be close to 30 million annually.

Last season he played 79 official games (45 as a starter) and shone as a substitute for the injured Mitchell Robinson, both in defense and distributing play from the zone. His averages were 7.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 blocks in 25.3 minutes per day.
