Jangsu County to Host 2024 4th Jeollabuk-do Governor’s Cup National Equestrian Competition

[스마트에프엔=길진원 기자] Jangsu-gun, Jeollabuk-do announced that the ‘2024 4th Jeollabuk-do Governor’s Cup National Equestrian Competition’ will be held for 5 days from the 16th to the 21st at the Jangsu International Equestrian Center, hosted by the Jeollabuk-do Equestrian Association.

This competition is a national competition in which approximately 200 athletes, including the general public and children, will compete in 39 events across two categories: dressage and obstacles. It is expected to be more competitive than ever, with obstacles (official OPEN) from 100 cm to 140 cm, and dressage (official OPEN) D, C, B, A S1 Class.

Jangsu County Governor Choi Hoon-sik said, “Through this equestrian competition, we will widely publicize Jangsu County’s status as a region representing the Jeonbuk Horse Industry Special Zone,” and “We will not spare our support to expand the base of the equestrian population and revitalize the local economy.”

Meanwhile, Jangsu-gun was designated as a special industrial zone for horses in 2018 and has an indoor riding center, riding experience center, and riding leisure town, and has hosted various national competitions.
