The Belgian sprinter from the Alpecin-Deceuninck team has just been disqualified from the sprint of the 6th stage of the Tour de France, in Dijon, on Thursday. Second on the finish line, he is accused of having slowed down the race of several sprinters including Wout van Aert, angry after the finish.
“I was boxed in again by Jasper Philipsen, it’s one of his bad habits. It wasn’t very dangerous, I could still brake. He felt me and went towards the barriers, that’s not professional,” he reacted to the Flemish press.
