Jaylen Hoard moves from Hapoël to Maccabi Tel-Aviv

Maccabi Tel Aviv announced in a statement on Tuesday the signing of French power forward Jaylen Hoard from neighboring club Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Currently in the middle of a training camp with the Blues in preparation for the Olympic Games (July 26 – August 11), Hoard is far from Israel, but at the heart of the discussions. “A traitor remains a traitor,” we can read on the social network X, while his former supporters are taking badly the departure of their player, author of a great season with the Red and White (16.7 pts, 5.1 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 18.8 evaluation, 23.1 minutes).

While the Israeli Championship no longer holds any secrets for Hoard, the power forward will discover the highest level of European basketball: the Euroleague. He will notably meet Paris Basketball, against whom he delivered a great performance during his team’s defeat last November (20 pts, 4 rebounds in 25′). “Jaylen is a versatile player who made great progress last season in the Israeli league and in the Eurocup. He will adapt to the team we are building and will help us achieve our goals in the Championship and in Europe,” reacted Oded Catch, Maccabi coach.
