John McEnroe: The Tennis Legend’s Comeback at Wimbledon With an 80s Twist!

Wherever he serves, he still causes a stir! Tennis legend John McEnroe (65) is famous for his sporting duels – and for his choleric outbursts.

Now the three-time Wimbledon winner is celebrating his comeback at the prestigious competition: in an 80s look with a curly wig! The most famous tennis tournament in the world (June 24 to July 14) is currently taking place in London. And McEnroe is on site in retro style for a commercial shoot.

Visually, he’s a real ace! That’s exactly how he looked when he won the Men’s Singles Finals in 1981, aged 22.

The sports star also appears without a wig to prove that it is really him. John McEnroe, the man who divided the tennis world. For many he was “Ugly John”, “Super-Brat” or “Big Mouth John”. The bully who smashed rackets and insulted referees.
