Jonas Vingegaard, dropped by Pogacar in the Galibier stage of the Tour de France: “My time will come”

Jonas Vingegaard, 5th in the fourth stage of the Tour de France this Tuesday, 37” behind Tadej Pogacar: “I would have liked to close the gap we had at the top (10 seconds) rather than see it increase. I held on in the first part of the descent, but the second was more of a straight line, so it favored Tadej I think. I have to accept that. We came here thinking we would lose time on three of the first four stages, up to two minutes. We only lost time once, today (Tuesday) and I am 50 seconds behind in the general classification, so it’s pretty good.

I had doubts about myself coming into this Tour, I didn’t know where I was at the start, and what we’re achieving is better than we could have hoped for. He (Pogacar) wasn’t much better than me today on the climb. My time, our time will come.”
