A large crowd of parents and grandparents came to attend the last meeting of the season and were able to observe the quality of the performances offered by the club’s young judokas.
The demonstrations took place one after the other on the tatami, in groups, from the smallest to the largest. The aim was to measure the evolution of the judokas year after year.
Our SELF DEFENSE section interspersed these demonstrations by offering attack/defense sequences of remarkable quality.
At the end of this last training session, and as usual, the belts and awards for the season were presented.
Unsurprisingly given the quality of the work, all the children received their new grades from the hands of Nathalie ROCHETIN and Laurent RELTIEN the teacher.
The latter wanted to highlight the great season of 3 young competitors who should still make headlines in the coming seasons.
Nola BARRILON who, for her first year as a Minime, finished 3rd in the Saône et Loire championship and 5th in the Burgundy championship in -48kgs.
These good results allowed him to be selected in the Minimes de Saône et Loire team which participated in the national team criterion in Clermont-Ferrand.
Nicolas MASSE, also a 1st year Minime, won the departmental title in -60kgs.
For his part, Corentin ANFRAY lost in the final in the -46kg Benjamins.
To end on a high note, parents, judokas and members of the board of directors met up for a drink.
The Judo Club will participate in the associations forum on September 7 at the college gymnasium, the sports season will start on Monday September 9.
