Kemba Walker Announces Retirement from Professional Basketball

Kemba Walker, four-time All-Star of the NBA, announced this Tuesday its retirement from professional basketball.Basketball has given me more than I could have ever imagined and I am super grateful for the incredible journey I’ve had,” the 34-year-old American player wrote on his social media account X.

Walker was selected 9th overall in the 2011 NBA draft by the Charlotte Hornets, the team where he spent eight seasons and where he showed his best level until becoming the player with the most points and most minutes played in the history of the franchise. He also holds the record for scoring by a Hornets player in a game, thanks to the 60 that he scored in 2018 in a game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
