French winger Kingsley Coman has temporarily left the French national team and Euro 2024 to be with his partner, who is about to give birth to their fourth child.
A spokesman for the French team confirmed that Coman left after Monday’s 1-0 victory over Belgium in the round of 16 of the competition to be with his partner in Sweden.
France’s next match is the quarter-final against Portugal, this coming Friday in Hamburg.
So far, Coman has only made his Euro 2019 debut as a substitute in the 0-0 draw against the Netherlands in the group stage, following an injury-plagued season at Bayern Munich.
