ESPN and The Athletic were the first to report the deal on a three-year, $50 million contract involving the Warriors, Mavericks and Charlotte Hornets, said sources who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the deal has not been announced publicly. One of the people who spoke to the AP said final terms of the trade were still being worked out.

Thompson is sixth on the NBA’s all-time 3-pointers made list with 2,481.

The five-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA selection will join a Dallas team that just reached the NBA Finals as a shooting guard alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

In other deals, Tyrese Maxey, Derrick White, Isaiah Hartenstein, Tobias Harris, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins are on the verge of signing contracts worth a combined $565 million, all confirmed to the AP by people with knowledge of the players’ negotiations involved.

Maxey agreed to a five-year, $204 million extension that keeps him with the Philadelphia 76ers and set to play alongside Joel Embiid and the soon-to-be-signed Paul George.

The Boston Celtics have signed guard Derrick White to a four-year extension worth around $125 million.

Hartenstein is leaving New York for Oklahoma City on a three-year, $87 million contract that includes an option. The Thunder also finalized extensions with Joe ($48 million) and Wiggins ($47 million).

Harris will go to Detroit on a two-year, $52 million contract, a move first reported by ESPN, continuing a rebuild under new coach hire JB Bickerstaff.
