Knicks Rookie Pacôme Dadiet Signs Contract after Exit Clause Paid

Given the traffic jam at the external posts, it was not certain that Pacôme Dadiet plays for the Knicks next season, but Hoopshype announces that New York management has paid his exit clause ($850,000) to the club Ratiopharm Ulm (Germany). As a result, the French winger will sign his rookie contract, and The Athletic specifies that he will receive 80% of the salary expected for a 25th pick. That is approximately $11.2 million over four years, instead of $14 million.

A 20% discount that allows the Knicks to not go into the red, and to be able to sign “free agents”. As for all rookies, it is a 2 + 2 type contract, and the Knicks benefit from clauses to activate his 3rd, then 4th season.

Selected in 25th position in the 2024 Draft, Pacôme Dadiet had warned that he did not want to return to Europe, and that he was ready to measure himself against his prestigious teammates (OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart, etc.).

“The course is beautiful. I took a lot of risks”recalled the player who will celebrate his 19th birthday at the end of the month. “I left France at 17 and spent the last two years in Germany and I felt it was a risk. I believed in myself, I worked hard and I stayed confident. I am versatile, but I can also bring what a rookie should bring to a team. Like bringing energy, getting a rebound, getting forward quickly, and making shots. It’s really important for a rookie to bring those qualities.”
