Knicks Set Contracts for Rookies Pacome Dadiet and Tyler Kolek

The New York Knicks have finalized the agreements of rookies Pacome Dadiet, the French wing selected with the No. 25 pick in last year’s NBA Draft, and Tyler Kolek, the point guard selected with the No. 34 pick.

Second Andy KatzDadiet will get 80% of the base salary for a player chosen at No. 25, a ‘sacrifice’ that will allow the Big Apple team to save just under a million.

Normally all rookies selected in the first round sign for 120% of the expected compensation, except for rare cases like this one, in which the Knicks are doing everything to make ends meet. Dadiet himself will receive 120% in the following seasons, in addition New York paid about 850,000 dollars of buyout to ratiopharm Ulm to free the Frenchman.

Kolek signed a four-year deal worth just over $9 million total, via the Second Round Pick Exception. The first three years are guaranteed, with a Team Option for the last.
