The line-up of the Dutch national team in the round of 16 of the European Championship against Romania is known. Compared to the final group match with Austria, and will disappear – as expected – from the starting line-up and will return in their place.
Koeman will stick to first goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen and the permanent centre of his four-man defence against the Romanians, which once again consists of Stefan de Vrij and captain Virgil van Dijk. On the right, Dumfries returns, which is at the expense of Feyenoord player Lutsharel Geertruida. Nathan Aké remains at left back.

In midfield, Jerdy Schouten and Tijjani Reijnders continue to be preferred as a defensive block. The three-man line is completed by Xavi Simons, who replaced Veerman after more than half an hour against Austria.
Up front, Koeman is sticking with the same three names that were allowed to start the match against Austria. This means that Donyell Malen will start on the right wing again and that Cody Gakpo will come on the left. As expected, Memphis Depay is positioned at the point of attack.
