Lukas Neumayer will be the last remaining Austrian to fight for a place in the quarterfinals in the singles competition of the ATP 250 clay court tournament in Kitzbühel on Wednesday (from around 1:20 p.m. in the LIVE ticker).
The 21-year-old from Salzburg will face the American Nicolas Moreno de Alboran (ATP-143.) in his round of 16 duel.
The only duel between the two competitors was two years ago. In the final of the M25 in Madrid 2022, the Austrian won on clay in two sets.
With a win, Neumayer, who knocked out Austria’s number one Sebastian Ofner in the first round, would return to the top 250 of the world rankings. The 21-year-old is currently number 289 in the world.
