Learn About Baseball Scoring with Former NPB Record Director: July 20th Event

Let’s keep a baseball record![July 20th in-person event]

Former record director of the Central League of the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), Mr. Ishii, will provide an easy-to-understand explanation of how scores are kept in baseball.

After introducing the commonly used “Waseda style” score position notation, pitch symbols (strike, ball, etc.), play symbols (out counts, strikeouts, walks, etc.), etc., the students will watch actual game footage and fill out a score sheet together with the instructor according to the play.
