LEONES de Industriales and Gallos de Sancti Spíritus came out on top on Wednesday as hosts in the fifth game of their respective ties, and held on to reach the quarter-finals of the 63rd National Baseball Series.

At the Estadio Latinoamericano, the team led by Guillermo Carmona overcame a three-run deficit from the first inning to finally beat Santiago de Cuba 6×4 and send the duel back to Guillermón Moncada Park, where they will meet again next Friday.
