Les Plum’eure Badminton Club Elects New President and Honors Outgoing President

Jouy. AG badminton jouy. The Les Plum’eure badminton club held its annual general meeting on Friday evening in Jouy, in front of 120 people including the president of the league, Kim Nivault, and that of the departmental badminton committee, Séverine Cornevin.

Resigning after 10 years as president and the creation of the club, Thierry Dumont was rewarded for his dedication and investment with numerous gifts, and elected honorary member. And it was Arnaud Cressant who took his place. “It’s always good to put someone new in,” said Thierry Dumont. “It also allows you to have new ideas.”

Awards were also given to “deserving young people” who have been involved in the association over the last four years and have achieved good results in competitions.

With 118 members, 43% of whom are young, 74 men and 44 women, the association is doing very well. The club has three regional labels for bad’santé, eco-responsibility and conviviality.

The program for next season currently includes a regional and national tournament on April 26 and 27.

Practical. Training at the Soutine complex in Saint-Prest: Monday, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for young people; Monday, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesday, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. for bad’santé. Training at the Jouy sports complex: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. for adults; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for young people; Sunday afternoon, “family” slot. Solidarity. During the general meeting, Plum’eure presented a check for €500 to Apedael (Association of Parents of Hearing-Impaired Children of Eure-et-Loir). A sum collected during a tournament that took place in April.
