Intense weekend for Libertas Atletica Forlì engaged on two fronts: the 114th edition of the Tricolori Assoluti took place in La Spezia, while the Regional Allievi Championships took place in Castelfranco Emilia. Two events that measure the state of form of the Forlì club, both with its best athletes in the absolute sector who are reaching full competitive maturity, and with the under 18s who represent the future. Italian Absolutes of La Spezia Libertas presents itself at the opening race of the championships with Francesco Amici, who, abandoning the multiple events, tries his hand at the 400hs. Having acquired the right to participate in the recent Challenge of Brescia with an excellent 53”49, Francesco starts with the obligation to attempt the arduous qualification for the finals. In the first part of the race he manages to keep the pace, conceding a few meters to his opponents, finding an excellent passage at the 5th hurdle. But the specialty is one of those that leave no escape and in the final straight the energy spent in the first part of the race, is reduced meter by meter. He will end his effort with a time of 54”14 confirming the 22nd place in the ranking. As usual…
