Lorenzo Buccarelli signs two-year agreement with Carpegna Ham Basket Pesaro: A Versatile Player With a Strong Track Record

the Carpegna Ham Basket Pesaro announces that it has defined a two-year agreement with Lorenzo Buccarelliguard born in 1998.

A versatile player who can occupy the role of ‘2’ and ‘3’ and who can also be a point guard, he knows how to use his body and physical size to create advantages both in pick and roll and in other isolation situations. In addition to having this offensive versatility, Lorenzo can also guard more roles than the opposing outside players on defense.

The professional career of the Tuscan basketball player began in 2014 with Veroli in LegaDue before moving to Stella Azzurra Roma during the season. From 2015 to 2017 he played in his native Tuscany, taking the field in A2 with Mens Sana Siena.

At the end of his experience with the biancoverdi and a brief stint in Sassari, from 2017 to 2019 he was one of the points of reference for Dinamo Cagliari, wearing the captain’s armband. In 2019/2020 he returned to Sassari winning the Italian Super Cup, then in 2020/2021 he moved to Eurobasket Roma reaching the promotion playoff semifinal. From 2021 to 2024 he was one of the protagonists of Pallacanestro Cantù’s attempts to get promoted to the top division.

Bucarelli boasts numerous appearances in the youth teams of the Italian national team: in 2016 in Turkey he won the bronze medal in the Under 18 European Championship while the following year in Egypt he graduated as world vice-champion in the Under 19 category.
