In the “ÇANAKKALE TRIO Master CUP” Veteran Basketball Tournament held for the first time in Çanakkale, 39 Veteran Women’s Basketball Team from Lüleburgaz left behind 3 women’s basketball teams and became the champion.
A total of 12 teams, including 8 veteran men’s teams and 4 veteran women’s basketball teams, participated in the International Basketball Tournament held in Çanakkale on 28-30 June 2024.
In the ÇANAKKALE TRIO Master CUP Veteran Basketball Tournament, Lüleburgaz 39 Veteran Women’s Basketball team left behind Çanakkale DEVADAM basketball team and İstanbul BEST LADIES Veteran Women’s Basketball team in the first round and made it to the finals.
At the end of a tough and close fight in the final, after 3 overtimes of the final match, our Lüleburgaz THIRTY-NINE Veteran Women’s Basketball team left the MIXED 35 Veteran Women’s Basketball Team behind and became the champion.
İpek Özcan, who is the captain of the THIRTY NINE Veteran Women’s Basketball Team, which was founded by women from Lüleburgaz in 2015 and has participated in various tournaments since then, made the following statements about the team’s success in the tournament: “Since 2015, our training sessions, which we have organized twice a week at the Lüleburgaz Stars Football Academy indoor sports hall, have continued with our dedication and disciplined work.
Since then, we have participated in many tournaments. The championship we won at the end of this tournament gave us great happiness both for ourselves and for our belief that we represented Lüleburgaz in the best way. My teammates and I will continue our work without interruption and with the same dedication.”
