1. FSV Mainz 05 has presented its home jersey for the 2024/25 season. The Bundesliga club remains true to its checkered pattern, but deviates from the regularity.

On Friday, Mainz presented their home jersey for the coming season. It features the usual pattern of red and white squares. In the lower part of the jersey, however, the arrangement of the squares is irregular this time and resembles pixels. The design is described in the club’s statement as a “remix of the red and white retro checkerboard pattern popular with 05 fans”.
Jochen Röttgermann, Head of Marketing and Sales at Mainz 05, says of the new jersey: “Both in the visual details and in the quality, you can see how much love for our city, but also for the product, has gone into our jerseys.” In addition to the visual aspect, the press release also promotes the sustainability of the production. According to the statement, the polyester used is made from “100 percent recycled material”.

For the first time, the Mainz men’s team jersey is also available in a women’s version. Both adult versions cost 84.95 euros (76.46 euros for members). The Mainz team’s outfitter remains the German sportswear manufacturer Jako.
Mainz will play their first home game of the season on the first Bundesliga matchday against Union Berlin (24/25 August). This is also when the new jersey can celebrate its premiere.
