Marina di Carrara Hosts 28th Edition of Jam Camp: A Celebration of Sports, Friendship, and Fun

Sports, friendship and fun: this year too Marina di Carrara hosts the Jam Camp. The pavilions of Imm-CarraraFiere in recent weeks have once again opened their doors to the volleyball and basketball event that involves many girls and boys from all over Italy together with internationally renowned champions and coaches. For the Jam Camp, the 2024 edition is the 28th, the 18th in Marina di Carrara. The event is a 360-degree sports-educational project that promotes sports practice as ‘active’ fun and a model for a correct and healthy lifestyle, encouraging the practice of sports activities in young people in the 8-18 age group. The Jam Camp has always brought children and young people closer to active sports practice, encouraging them to practice constant sports and physical activity, distancing them from the prospect of a sedentary lifestyle. It also represents an educational, emotional and unforgettable experience for those involved, promoting social aggregation and inclusion thanks to sport and recreational activities that include, outside the playing field, sharing moments of leisure on the beach, in the swimming pool, in themed evenings and in short excursions in the host location, for the kids a strong stimulus towards conscious choices such as a permanently active life, the valorization of diversity and inclusion, solidarity, tolerance and fair play, inside and outside the playing field. “We are very proud of the work done in all these years in Marina di Carrara. In recent years, dozens and dozens of volleyball and basketball champions directed by the famous Massimo Barbolini and Dan Peterson have attended the Jam Camp on the Apuan Riviera, and this year presences such as Matey Kazyinsky, Robertlandy Simon, Katerina Antropova, Enrica Merlo, Paolo Porro, Francesca Ferretti, Tommy Stefani, Damiano Catania and the Allianz Powervolley Milano staff for volleyball, for basketball Dan Peterson, who will be present for the entire period, coach Mike Fratello NBA legend, Frank Gioffrè, Ratko Mihailovic, Andrea Vicenzutto, Briana Green and Tay Fisher from the Harlem Globetrotters promise an even more explosive edition! The Marina di Carrara Jam Camp takes place in the Imm-CarraraFiere structure which for the occasion sees its pavilions transformed into an enormous ‘sports village’, with the setting up of up to 64 playing fields, for a total of over 20 thousand square meters of extension for this gigantic ‘indoor’ playground that represents a unique sports village at a European level.
