Martin Hašek is out of work again. The former player of Sparta Prague ended up in the second division Greek club Makedonikos Neapolis after a year. The Czech midfielder is one of the nine players whose contract the club did not extend.

After the controversial end in Prague’s Sparta, Hašek is unable to find a long-term engagement. The son of coach Martin Hašek Sr. tried to get a foothold in the Greek second league for the last time, but his engagement in Makedonikos did not work out too well for him. During the season, he played in 23 games, scoring two goals.

Since his unfortunate end in Sparta, which culminated in a lawsuit, Hašek has already changed his fourth club. After stints in second-division German Würzburg and second-division Turkish Erzurumspor, he was picked up by Polish Plock in the middle of the 2022/2023 season. However, Hašek played only 12 minutes in the Ekstraklasa and headed to Greece after the season.

But he didn’t stay too long there either. Makedonikos did not manage the fight for promotion to the first league and ended cooperation with nine footballers after the season, including Hašek.
