Now a 76ers player, Paul George was close to joining the Warriors just days before. And Draymond Green is clearly bitter about it.
While the Warriors have recruited Kyle Anderson, while Buddy Hield is not necessarily far away, the franchise remains a little bitter after the failure in the Paul George saga. The latter had agreed to join the Dubs with a 4-year contract and a maximum salary upon his arrival. Except that the Clippers said no.
Lacking enough cap space, Golden State had to make a trade to get PG13, but the Clippers never found what they were looking for. Jonathan Kuminga was asked for in return, but the refusal was very quick on the other side. However, for others, the Los Angeles franchise never intended to negotiate.
Warriors angry in Paul George soap opera?
It must be said that negotiating with a competitor in the same conference is never easy. Knowing that the Clippers and Warriors were also rivals at a certain time, relations are not at their best. Draymond Green is actually angry with the Clippers, who did not want to help George reach the destination of his choice.

A bitter Green, even if all this is understandable. The Clippers preferred to lose PG13 without anything in return, rather than have a solid counterpart with several young players and potentially draft rounds. A rather surprising tactic.
The Clippers visibly annoyed the Warriors during negotiations for Paul George, including Draymond Green. The Californian franchise’s tactics convinced absolutely no one.
