Montse Tomé reveals this Wednesday who will seek gold in Paris 2024

MADRID, 1 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish women’s soccer coach, Montse Tomé, will announce this Wednesday afternoon the final list of players who will go to Paris for the Olympic Games, on the first occasion that the Spanish, current world champions, will be in the fight for an Olympic medal.

“On July 3 at 5:00 p.m. the list of players who will be part of the expedition that will travel to France to compete in the Olympic event will be announced,” the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced this Monday in a statement.

After the list for the last two qualifying matches for the next Euro Cup, Tomé will announce this Wednesday, through the national team’s social networks, the call-up of footballers for the Olympic Games.

In Paris 2024, Spain is drawn with Japan, Nigeria and Brazil in Group C of the women’s soccer tournament, in which it will seek the gold medal with a team, barring surprises, that will include Montse Tomé’s typical bloc.

The team is concentrated in Los Ángeles de San Rafael (Segovia), from where it is preparing the last two qualifying matches for EURO 2025 in Switzerland, against the Czech Republic on Friday, July 12 in Chomutov and against Belgium, on Tuesday, July 16 in the Riazor Stadium in A Coruña.

Once both matches have been played, the final concentration of the Olympic group will begin on July 17 prior to the team’s trip to France, on Sunday, July 21, for the Paris Olympic Games.
